The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year. The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show. The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December. The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros. She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent. Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent. She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans." The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles. He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time. At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record. "Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." The Cricket Sensation Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition. Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year. "I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin.
